Band 4 Rotational Pharmacy Technician post

37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday plus weekend rota

We are looking for a registered Pharmacy Technician to rotate between Dispensary Services, Ward distribution/Top up services & Chemotherapy Production. Experience of working in an aseptic production unit is desirable for the role but training will be provided if required

The applicant should have a BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science combined with a level 3 NVQ diploma or equivalent qualification which will permit registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

Duties include: Dispensing for In-patients & Out-patients, assisting with Home care services, Ward visits to undertake Medicines Management / Distribution services, preparation of Chemotherapy in the Beacon Production Unit, and assisting with the training of Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants.

The is a rotational post working in all the key service areas to develop experience and skills.

Participating in the weekend rota approx 1:7 on Saturday & Sunday mornings and occasional Bank holiday work usually one per annum is a requirement of the job.
