Position overview:

Must be available Mondays 0800 to 1030, Tuesdays 0915 to 1015 & Thursdays 0915 to 1015.

To deliver Boost Your Body approved training sessions, provide nutrition advice in line with Boost Your Body principles and support Clients on their journey to their health and fitness goals.

You must have a positive attitude, highly motivated personality, and the ability to encourage clients to reach their fitness goals whilst being able to empathise with women 40 and over.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead Boost Your Body approved training sessions including:

  • observing and give feedback to the clients, without being too pushy or coming off too strong-headed, so that they can improve their technique and gain maximum results.
  • being able to clearly explain, and correctly demonstrate, the exercises.
  • being able to suggest alternative exercises if needed - e.g due to client injury.
  • checking the Par-Q of each new Client prior to their first training session and, if not completed, ensure Client completes the form before taking part.
  • being flexible enough to change your style to a method that will result in a better response from the Client. For example, some clients will want a firm approach and like to be called out if they are slacking off, while others would see this as negative feedback and so stop attending sessions.
  • being able to make exercise fun.
  • making yourself available at the end of a session to talk to Clients.
  • actively seeking to talk to any Clients that may have been struggling with and/or not enjoying the session.

Maintain a positive, enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude at all times whilst remaining empathetic with our Clients. Our Clients must know with absolute certainty that they can always rely on you to lift their mood no matter what kind of day they’re having.

Educate clients on nutrition without coming across as preaching.

Be organised and admin capable including

  • being quick to contact the Admin Support Staff when a Client has attended their first session or is struggling with any aspect of their membership
  • consistently completing the register at each group training session to enable support staff to see, at a glance, which Clients are falling away
  • being responsive to messages either in the BYB WhatsApp Group Chats and/or messages direct from the Membership Consultant or Admin Support staff

Demonstrate and encourage correct warm-up and stretching techniques to avoid injury.

Be well presented and wear Boost Your Body approved clothing for all coaching sessions.

Be first aid qualified.

Follow all appropriate systems and procedures set out in the Boost Your Body Operations Manual.
