People Partner – Performance & Reward

Role Summary

We’re looking for an experienced People Partner to own our approach to performance and reward at Travel Counsellors. The successful candidate will promote and cultivate a forward-thinking, inclusive global performance policy and approach, characterised by fair and inclusive decision making and behaviours. Forming key relationships across our business, our colleagues and their performance will remain at the core of what you do. Based at our Manchester Support Office and reporting into the People Director, this role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional with a passion for creating a high performing culture to design and deliver tools, communications and guidance for colleagues and People Managers that build capability, enable great performance and foster continuous learning and skills development.

This role is critical to our growth as we look to support our people with clear direction and accountability, giving them the tools and skills to maximise their potential and create a future without limits.Linking our Business Plan to colleague objectives and key results, this role will be critical to the alignment of our business strategy and delivery of our ambitious goals. You’ll be an effective and confident coach as you’ll be expected to coach our People Managers to successfully drive ownership and accountability across their teams.

You’ll also have experience in understanding the link between performance and reward, with knowledge and experience in designing and implementing reward structures that are representative of our business and supportive of retaining talent. We’re looking for a HR generalist who can also support our People Team in wider HR related matters from time to time, so you must be comfortable with your employment law knowledge and HR processes.

You will be innovative, entrepreneurial and keen to disrupt the norm, challenging our talent and our business to be the best. Skills & Experience Required

A team player with relevant experience within this field, ideally within a fast-paced, digital business and has a proven track record of success in creating, developing and nurturing a high-performance culture.

Strong HR employment law and policy knowledge, able to confidently advise the business on matters relating to HR activity

A clear understanding on modern performance development techniques to motivate and inspire colleagues to succeed

A natural communicator and collaborator that quickly gains the trust and engagement of our leaders and senior managers to deliver results, quickly but effectively.

A brilliant storyteller, presenter and facilitator, with the ability to inspire and motivate a range of audiences to complete specific HR related activities.

Strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate and communicating this to business audiences

A strategic thinker with experience in translating the objectives of a business into a clear performance strategy and the gravitas to successfully embed a performance cycle at Travel Counsellors

An innovator who keeps their knowledge up to date regarding the latest technology and digital trends in this area and has an entrepreneurial approach to service design and delivery

A strong understanding and ability to utilise design-thinking methodology to create service improvements based on the requirements and needs of a range of stakeholders

Capable of designing and managing processes with the appropriate levels of consistency for a global business, and a clear understanding of international cultural differences

Able to work in an agile, high pressured environment and can respond quickly to stakeholder needs experience in managing and influencing multiple stakeholders, globally, and comfortable working with C-level executives
