Jackson Hogg is looking to recruit a People Development Assistant for a fantastic company based in Ashington.

Hours - 37.5 (hybrid working)

Role Purpose

Supporting all of the co-ordination of the People Development team activities to deliver a best in class, sustaining our reputation as a fair, welcoming and equitable employer

Accountabilities

  • Co-ordinate all administration of the People Development function to ensure that the service we provide to the business is first class and aligned to the people strategy.
  • Assist with the design and delivery of effective and engaging learning activities and initiatives to develop skills and abilities and engage our people in self development and learning.
  • Timely monitoring and scheduling of training activities including Regulatory Mandatory Training requirements to ensure all colleagues are compliant and refresher training is coordinated by the required deadlines and Operational and Corporate Essential training including Induction to ensure all colleagues are adequately trained in line with our Group Training Needs Matrix and Adhoc training requests which support future skills development and compliance needs.
  • Maintain the Learning Management System ensuring accurate records and data are provided to both colleagues and the business. This includes generating reports to support scheduling and monitoring of training.
  • Liase with suppliers and internal/external trainers to schedule dates, locations and ensure all pre and post training information, costs and attendance is accurate and agreed in advance of scheduling
  • Collaborate with, and support the wider People Services team ensuring overall business growth and development is part of the overall People & Professionalism Strategy.
  • Collaborate proactively and effectively with all customers to understand training and development needs and communicate solutions which provide a first class service to all employees.
  • Ensure all department policies, processes and guidelines are followed
  • Promote a learning and development culture that supports and encourages a passion and curiosity for continuous professional development.
  • Contribute to the departments plans and strategies for the People Services function, to ensure we continue to deliver a first class service.

Desirable Skills And Experience

  • Proven track record as an accomplished people development co-ordinator.
  • Experience of scheduling multiple training or complex meetings and events to accommodate business needs.
  • Experience administrating an online learning management system. (Desirable)
  • Minimum of level 3 qualification, or working towards one, in L&D, HR OR Business administration (Desirable)
