Hours: Full-time or part-time considered up to a maximum FTE of 37.5 hours. Hybrid working arrangement will be in place whereby the role holder will be expected to work on campus 50% and at home 50%.Requests for flexible working options will be considered (subject to business needs), We are looking for multi-skilled candidates who have experience of working within the support capacity of a complex organisation. You will have knowledge of resource management, be a highly organised planner, and have an appetite to deliver training and workshops. You will be able to lead conversations and to build relationships across all levels of the University. University of Sussex is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic People and Planning Manager to work within Sussex Projects' Portfolio Management Office. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of a multi-million Portfolio that spanning Estates, IT, Education, Research and business change. The right candidate will have the opportunity to influence staffing solutions that ensure proper alignment of resources to projects, optimises resource utilisation and supports resource development. A varied role with direct accountability for supporting the mobilisation of projects, you will lead on all aspects of people management, from developing resourcing strategies and producing management information that informs strategic and tactical people-decision making, through to developing the skills and competency of project participants across the breadth of University of Sussex.
