We’re searching for a technical and dynamic Payroll Assistant to join our clients Payroll Bureau team based in Bingley.

  • Up to £28,000 pa, dependent on experience
  • 35 hours per week + Paid Overtime
  • Office Based –Flexibility with Some Remote Working Available
  • Excellent Development Opportunities

  • Must be UK resident with unrestricted right to work in the UK

THE ROLE

In this role, you will manage the payroll process for a diverse portfolio of clients. Working in a small team, you will be responsible for developing strong relationships with your clients, successfully completing all payroll activities, whilst looking at processes and potential improvements. Key responsibilities:

  • Managing payroll for a variety of clients covering:
  • Processing monthly, weekly, and annual payroll,
  • Processing auto-enrolment workplace pensions,
  • Submitting real time information to HMRC,
  • BACS submissions.
  • Provide accurate reports for clients and collaborate with internal accounts colleagues.

· Resolve payroll queries while fostering strong client relationships.

· Continuously improve processes to maintain up-to-date client information.

The Candidate

We would love to speak to dynamic and process orientated individuals with strong technical abilities. You will have experience dealing with a bureau of payroll clients and possess the knowledge to service, inform and advise a variety of clients. You will be a team player, passionate and keen to consistently look at process improvements.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4+ years’ payroll bureau experience with a solid technical foundation.
  • Proficiency in using multiple systems including Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero.
  • Excellent communication skills; confident in dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A keen eye for detail and an analytical mindset, dedicated to continuous improvement.
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work and the ability to work under pressure.
