Job Description

The Payroll Manager position based in London will involve the following duties:

  • Manage and supervise the payroll Team.
  • Oversee the Payroll processing for of all company payrolls.
  • Able to provide training on statutory payments, payroll, company policy and system queries.
  • Have 1-1’s with each payroll team member.
  • Have monthly payroll meetings to look for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Help the team with payroll queries.
  • Deal with payroll escalations for complex or high priority issues.
  • Be the point of contact for Payroll and benefit enquiries.
  • Assist with any new starters, leavers and changers regarding payroll or benefits.
  • Reconcile monthly pension contributions from the payroll report, and over payment pension amounts through our on-line account
  • Deal with payroll queries for both internal and for external clients.
  • Assist with the full administrative pension process foe the organisation.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the Payroll Manager position will need to have the following skills and experience:

  • Have experience leading and managing a payroll team before.
  • Knowledge of UK payroll processes and legislation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially with Microsoft Excel.
  • Have an excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent payroll software knowledge, having SD Worx experience is advantageous.
