Job Title: Parts Manager
Salary: £32,000 to £36,000 per annum depending on experience
Location: Heathfield, Newton Abbot

We are currently working with a long-standing farming and garden machinery trader to find a Parts Manager to operate and manage their busy parts department. This an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual with strong interpersonal and management skills, as well as strong intuition for business needs and organisation.

The Parts Manager will control the day-to-day parts function and retail sales within the showroom, as well as managing a small team, ensuring excellent customer service is delivered.



As Parts Manager, your duties will include:

  • Managing and supporting a small team with training and development
  • Continuously look to grow the parts function, monitoring the market and adapting
  • Following chain of business from ordering goods to ensuring successful delivery
  • Working closely with the marketing team
  • Stock checks
  • Monitoring and understanding P&L impact of the department
  • Meeting and liaising with suppliers

Essential skills required:

  • Proven Parts Management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills both in person and over the phone
  • Computer literate, advantageous to have knowledge of Ibcos Gold
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy atmosphere
  • Capable of working both independently and in a team
  • Impeccable accuracy with numbers for handling customer payments
  • Agricultural experience would be desirable

Hours Schedule: 42.25 hours per week

  • 8am-5pm Monday to Friday - 1 hour break daily
  • Saturdays on a bi-weekly basis, 8am-12:30pm
