Job Description

Our Financial Services Client is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support their legal team on a temporary basis, for a period of 12 weeks on a part time basis
    Hourly rate - £14.00 to £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
    Location - Northeast Bristol location (office based)
    Hours - ideally 22.5 hours worked over 3 days per week
    Temporary role for 12 weeks - to start as soon as possible

The Legal Assistant Role:

Providing administrative and legal support to the Legal Team, the successful applicant will ensure that databases and records are correct and up to date, whilst liaising with both internal and external stakeholders on a variety of different legal matters. You will ensure that any information provided is accurate at all times whilst also having the ability to identify and escalating queries to other team members as and when required.

Duties Include:
    Production of standard template customer agreements and amendments.
    Respond to simple enquiries in the UK Legal Team inbox and draft simple, standard form contracts such as NDAs.
    Respond to internal requests for copies of completed documentation on internal systems.
    Arrange for agreements to be signed and ensure signed agreements are passed to all relevant parties and then correctly filed, logged and stored.
    Manage legal queries from external solicitors regarding litigation matters and ensuring that the correct documentation is sent to the courts when required.
    Provide administrative and Legal support to the rest of the Legal Team.

The Successful Applicant for the Legal Assistant Role:
    Successful completion of the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or qualification as a Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx)
    Previous experience in a legal role with similar duties and responsibilities
    Good Communication skills face to face, telephone, email, letter and report writing
    Strong time management with an ability to work to strict deadlines
    Good standard in IT literacy with particular focus on Microsoft Excel and Word
    Articulate and numerate
    Customer/ Stakeholder focussed
