Rapidly expanding Business Services Group based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, has a requirement for a part-time Financial Accountant to undertake a newly created position with responsibility for the production of all statutory reporting and compliance for the Group.

What will the role involve?

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the main responsibilities for the Financial Accountant position will include:
  • Production of all financial statements, group consolidations, disclosures and tax computations;
  • Management of the annual audit process including collation of all audit deliverables and acting as key point of contact with the external auditors;
  • R&D calculation and submission and transfer pricing arrangements;
  • Production of monthly Balance Sheet pack;
  • Cash-flow analysis, forecasting and monthly cash transfers.
Suitable Candidate
  • Applicants for the role will ideally hold a full accountancy qualification with previous experience of working in a similar position in a fast-paced environment;
  • Possessing a high attention to detail, the successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to implement effective controls and procedures.
Additional Information
  • The role will be offered on a part-time basis of between 25-32 hours with the successful applicant expected to attend the Portsmouth offices one day a week.
