We are currently looking to attract a paralegal to join our travel & tour operator team in our office in Liverpool.

The role of paralegal will mainly be focused on handling PL pre-litigated and some litigated claims brought under the Package Travel Regulations 1992 but it will include some EL claims too.

You will be working for two very well-known tour operators and there will be client interaction too.

The role will involve management of claims from intimation through to resolution, whether during the pre-litigation process or into litigation. It will include investigations, recoveries, completion of management information, collation of findings and resolution of claims while providing an exceptional level of service to our clients. It may also involve investigations of potential claims and offering solicitors in the team support on their files, including higher value claims It is essential that you are organised and able to work fully digitally.

Our travel team is a leader in the field in defending claims against travel and tour operator providers and their insurers and this is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal to gain exposure in this area while building on their paralegal skills. It may also be suitable for a legal executive.

We are looking to hear from experienced paralegals with a similar background in pre-litigation and litigation work in a defendant law firm, with a high standard of verbal and numerical reasoning. The ability to analyse, evaluate and communicate information logically is key – together with proficient IT skills. Previous experience within travel claims would be ideal.
