Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Paralegal/Legal Assistant based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:

  • Organising, managing and maintaining the legal document library and managing all archiving tasks.
  • Assisting various teams across the organisation with the legal database migration project, including analysing, uploading and inputting legal data.
  • Carrying out office administration, including the timely management of any invoicing matters.
  • Providing support to the legal team in connection with the third party licence transfers, managing the associated checks / reviews of the relevant agreements and all communications with the internal and external parties.
  • Conducting legal research and assisting the legal team in drafting of contracts/agreements as may be required.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the legal sector.
  • In-house paralegal / legal assistant experience in the energy sector will be advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks or caseloads.
  • Good attention to detail to be able to carefully analyse files and data.
  • Legal research skills and the desire to develop understanding of the law.
  • Time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Office administrative skills for tasks such as filing, typing and letter writing.
  • Good teamwork skills particularly when working with other departments.
  • A flexible, adaptable and professional approach to work.
  • Excellent it/computer skills and knowledge of word, excel and powerpoint.
