Litigation Paralegal – Financial Mis-Selling
Salary DOE
Altrincham Area – Hybrid Offered

You will be working as part of a team, supporting the day to day running of cases related to financial mis-selling, undertaking a variety of technical, administrative and client focused tasks ensuring compliance with court directions with the view to achieving the best outcome for our clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • End to end case management of financial mis-selling claims.
  • Preparing cases for trial
  • Liaising with third party representatives
  • Calculating the quantum of claims and negotiating settlements with defendants
  • Dealing with customer queries and responding in a timely manner and securing client
instruction throughout the duration of the claim
  • Drafting Witness statements, Skeleton Arguments and other legal documents
  • Compiling Trial bundles and documents for Counsel
  • Staying up to date on relevant case law
  • Chasing disclosure and making real time decisions in respect of the prospects of the claim
  • Ensuring our case management system (Proclaim) is kept up to date with critical information to
allow for accurate reporting and case management.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • At least 12 months litigation experience
  • Experience dealing with high-volume cases
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing own litigated case load.
  • IT Literate with an excellent understanding of Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Organised with effective time management skills to ensure deadline are met.
  • A positive and proactive attitude
