Job OverviewSomerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint an 8a Clinical Psychologist to work in general paediatric psychology services and work closely with the Consultant Clinical, Principal Clinical Psychologist and other Clinical psychologists in the team, paediatricians, and nurses. This post will build on the success that the team has had developing services.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will help to deliver psychological interventions to a paediatric population across Somerset and provide supervision to other Clinical Psychologists and reflective practice to the wider team.The successful candidate will have knowledge of and experience in working with a paediatric population. They will have experience of service development, including developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. A Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent accepted by BPS as qualification for work as Clinical Psychologist and Registration with HCPC is essential.The post holder will receive clinical supervision from the lead Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Paediatric Psychology, and clinically supervise other Clinical Psychologists. The Trust has excellent working relationships with Exeter University doctoral training programme and there will be opportunities for supervising Trainee Clinical Psychologists.Working for our organisationWe have strong links with regional specialist centres and national networks and strive to develop and continually improve our services in line with national recommendations and patient feedback.
