We are recruiting for a Packaging Technologist to join our NPD team based in Waterlooville. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials that are fit for purpose, functionally, environmentally and ethically. Responsible for delivering packaging projects within budget and on time.

Role Responsibilities

  • Global sourcing of new packaging material
  • Packaging project delivery
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to provide functional packaging solutions
  • Partner with manufacturing management to deliver packaging related cost reduction, and quality improvement projects
  • Reduce/eliminate manufacturing downtime due to packaging inefficiencies
  • Deliver Innovative packaging solutions to maximise technological advancements in packaging design and construction
  • Provide MSDS data sheets for all new packaging introduced into the business
  • Keep abreast of packaging sustainability, ethical trading and global sourcing developments

Skills and Experience

  • Packaging technology qualification or equivalent
  • Ability to meet deadlines unsupervised
