Are you looking for a new challenge within SEND to start after the summer holidays? Perhaps a new school, year group or different area of SEN?I am currently recruiting for a part time, Outreach Teaching Assistant to come and work along a Tutor to help support Learners suffering with various forms of SEND. You will be required to meet with the Tutor at the Learner’s house, from there you will go with the Tutor and the Learner to location (park, shops, swimming etc.) and then return back to the Learner’s house once you have finished for the day.Initially this will be for 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday on a consistent basis but if you are the right person for the role, a full time permanent role can definitely be considered! This role will be about getting the Learner used to and comfortable with real world situations to help them better integrate into society. You will not be required to get involved in any interventions and if there is a time when this arises, you will be expected to stand back and let the Tutor handle it in the relevant way.Ideally, you’ll have experience of working as a teaching assistant, with special needs, within a similar role such as a support worker/youth worker or have studied similar topics. But we can consider experience from all areas if you are confident, enthusiastic & passionate about working with people with SEND.What you will need:- 2 checkable references
  • DBS on the update service (we can help you obtain this)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Be available full time from September 1st 2023
  • To be reliable and able to commit fully to the role
