Your future duties and responsibilities

These Oracle DBA roles are exciting and diverse, you will be working within the Service team on site 5 days a week, supporting our client on a shift rota from 7am to 10pm with occasional Saturdays.

Both roles focus on deploying, operating and maintaining client databases from small development systems through to mission critical production systems.

You will have demonstrable experience supporting development through to production databases with exposure to a number of Oracle database versions. Fusion Middleware and/or eBusiness technology experience is desirable.

As an Oracle DBA, you will possess a solid understanding of the core elements of database administration such as backup and recovery, patching, monitoring, systems tuning and capacity management with a working knowledge of more advanced features such as RAC, ASM and dataguard replication.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

You will have demonstrable experience supporting development through to production databases with exposure to a number of Oracle database versions from 10,11g and 12, to the most recent 19c. Fusion Middleware and/or eBusiness technology experience is desirable.

You must either hold, or be willing and able to be Security cleared to SC level or higher. Anyone not willing to undergo SC clearance should not apply.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• Experience in the following but not all, would be advantageous;
• Experience of large mission-critical databases
• experience of supporting 11.2 Grid Infrastructure
• experience of supporting multiple 10g and 11g RAC & Single Instance databases running on Solaris/RedHat; multi-terabyte; OLTP/OLAP setup
• previous experience supporting middleware technology such as Oracle Application Server 9iAS, eBusiness Suite (Oracle Applications 11i, using both Forms and Self-Service)
• able to cover weekend and 24/7 support
• working in a secure airgapped environment
  

It would be nice for the candidate to have;

• Awareness of Oracle fusion middleware technology stack
