Position: Optometrist

Location: Barry, The Vale of Glamorgan

Salary: £55,000 and excellent bonus (depending on experience)

Working hours: Full Time or Part Time

Experience level: You must be a GOC registered Optometrist





Specsavers in Barry have relocated in to a brand new store and we’re growing quickly. We have all new, cutting-edge testing equipment in every room. We’re growing our clinical team and we’d love you to join us. We’re seeking an Optometrist, prepared to undertake Pre-Reg supervision, to join our dynamic team at Specsavers in Barry. You’ll need to have been qualified for a minimum of 2 years, in order to be considered.

You’ll become a valued part of an experienced team; collectively we have over 150 years of optical experience and our partner, Helen, is a lecturer at Cardiff University.



Barry is a vibrant coastal town with a bustling High Street, gorgeous parks and the Goodsheds and Innovation Quarter – a shopping, eating and relaxing destination featuring independent businesses in an industrial heritage setting.



What’s on Offer?

• Basic salary up to £55,000 (depending on experience)

You’ll need to be a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist with the drive, passion and the willingness to build upon our customer-focused culture. As part of our team, you’ll need to be able to provide a unique blend of customer care and professional excellence. You’ll need to demonstrate good attention to detail along with a passion for the community. Teamwork also forms a big part of our culture, so the ability to work well with others is essential.
