Job ProfileOperations Manager required. Our client is a well-established manufacturer of quality glass fibre products, based in Lancaster. They supply GRP gatehouses cabinets, kiosks and enclosures to customers in various industries across the UK.They are seeking an Operations Manager with demonstrable experience to work as part of the management team to support the overall achievements of business goals, within the company.Operations Manager Position Overview
  • Overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing facility.
  • Ensure production targets are met.
  • Supervision of the factory staff.
  • Responsible for cost control, quality control and scheduling maintenance.
  • Communicate with other departments on business and projects etc.
Operations Manager Position Requirements
  • Experience managing a manufacturing environment / facility.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing concepts and tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001.
  • Experience in cost control and budget management.
  • Experience working in the GRP or Construction industry will be an added advantage.
  • Based within a commutable distance of Lancaster.
  • Full driving licence.
Operations Manager Position Remuneration
  • Salary - £45,000 to £55,000 - depending on skill, qualifications and experience.
  • Monday to Friday - Full time position.
  • Holiday package.
  • Company pension scheme.
