Role: Operations Manager



Salary: CompetitiveOur client, a leading global medical device company is currently seeking an Operations Manager to join their team.The role of the Operations Manager will be to manage all production activities and human resources, be responsible for health and safety, formulation of production plans, production performance levels, and quality within the company’s facilities, and assist as required to support the Group operations to ensure goals are met.Key responsibilities:Ability to work under pressure Leading and motivating the team to fulfill production schedules, improve control costs and quality of our range of exclusive high-quality productsTrack production scheduling to ensure optimum output and on-time shipments.To implement and maintain key metrics, related to planning, productivity, cost, quality, and delivery.Assist in the design and function of all production areas to improve efficiency, optimize space, and reduce manufacturing waste.Motivate team members to meet tight production and customer delivery schedules.Communicate clearly and effectively with Heads of Departments to ensure all agreed production and quality targets are achieved.Ensure that Health and Safety regulations are met to ensure the entire safety of all employees working in manufacturing departments.Train, coach, and supervise employees to attain optimum performance considering every employee and promoting a positive atmosphere allowing them to use the best of their skills.Design, prepare and record manufacturing methods to ensure high quality and efficiency.Maintain training records and assist in presenting training on every manufacturing procedure, process, and equipment.Work with group supply chain management to ensure a stable stream of inventory.Maintain feasible schedules of entire product teams and expedite material as needed.Comply with the entire Q/A manual to assure the implementation of all the company’s Documented Production Processes with specific, attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality and consistency are maintained in the production of all products.Conduct routine audits of equipment and stock in support of group financial reporting.Support the R&D department with administration and reporting as required.Implement and monitor with other Heads of Department all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & Company Policies.Provides guidance for staff as required and supports group HR Functions.Manage staff absences process in line with company policies.Ensure complaints are dealt with in a timely manner and feedback is given to the relevant department when required.Engage the team to ensure quality checks are carried out regularly and in line with regulations and that issues are reduced and dealt with accordingly.Responsible for finances, monthly payroll, and expense sign-off.To support contracted training events as or when required - may require working weekends.To empower and lead the team through strong clear and open collaboration, being focused and committed, learning together, and teamwork.Key qualifications and experience:- Experience in managing manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, systems, and best practices
  • Computer literate & experienced in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven Leadership experience
  • Extensive operational experience
  • Management qualification - degree or ILM preferred.
  • Project Management qualification - preferred
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of the medical training simulation industry - desirable, but not essential
