Operations Manager – Manufacturing

Salary: to £70000 + benefits

Location: West Midlands

This successful business supplies a range of specialist products to the construction & building services industry, as site Operations Manager to take full, site-wide responsibility for one of their key manufacturing facilities, production projects and business expansion plans

Duties:

The Operations Manager will form part of the senior leadership team of this impressive manufacturing facility and will have full site responsibility for all operational performance across manufacturing, H&S, quality, people and productivity. Reporting directly into the Operations Director, you will be tasked with leading and developing a culture of success through a team of direct reports including production operations, process engineering, planning and SHEQ with a wider team of c100

o Owning leading and improving a balanced scorecard of KPIs

o Driving a culture of delivering product on time, in full and to the right standards

o Managing a motivated, high performing team to increase efficiency across the plant

o Promoting a culture of continuous improvement with emphasis on health & safety

o Contributing to operational strategy and managing improvement projects to achieve strategic business goals

Experience:

Applications are sought from experienced Operations Managers or Manufacturing Managers with a background in high volume manufacturing

o Educated to Degree level, Time Served or equivalent ideally with some further management and H&S qualifications

o Knowledge of operational management and organisational methods in a fast paced high volume manufacturing environment

o Strong, passionate and motivational leadership skills with the ability to build a culture of success

o Ability to manage complex projects and proactively address issues

o A proven track record of continuous improvement and lead manufacturing, you will know what world class manufacturing looks like

o Excellent communication skills at all levels of the business

o An exemplary reputation of health & safety delivery and improvement
