Operations Leader

This Operations Leader position is with a globally leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company that are willing to invest heavily into the successful candidate to promote career and personal development. The role will be focussing on the oversight and guidance of all manufacturing related teams on a pharmaceutical COMAH site and also aiding in the investment of over £10million.

Responsibilities of the Operations Leader;

• Working as part of the senior site team to facilitate and deliver an investment of £10 million into the site.
• Ensures Safe Working Procedures, Business Health & Safety Standards and practices are in place and followed in order to minimise the risk to the workforce, Areas and equipment and to ensure compliance with Company policy, targets and current legislation.
• Identifies strategic products for efficient operations i.e. de-bottlenecking, cycle time reduction & standardisation.
• Ensures effective communications across all teams. Delivery of safety bulletins, team briefs and general communications, as necessary.
• Identifies, develops & initiates continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of responsibility.
• Provides team leadership & motivation to ensure the achievement of team & Area targets & objectives.
• Monitors teams’ performance, identifies individual & team training requirements, develops & initiates plans to improve individual & team performance & supports the HR Manager in the development & delivery of the department’s training plan.
• Monitors & controls spend within defined budget & parameters.

To be successful in this position as Operations Leader it is essential to have previous experience within a similar Operations Leader role from a manufacturing background, ideally process manufacturing within Pharma, GMP or Chemicals on a COMAH site. Additionally, any further qualifications will also be beneficial, for example HNC, HND or Degree.
