We have a new opportunity for an Operations Director to join our SES team in Birmingham.

You will manage the Company’s design and build as well as installation business with the view to maximise the profitability of the Region whilst safeguarding and enhancing the Company’s reputation.

SES Engineering Services (SES) is a £180 Million M&E Business operating out of 6 Regional Offices as the UK’s pre-eminent design-led Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) provider, specialising in the design and installation of building services and infrastructure solutions. Having successfully worked on several prestigious contracts in the UK and Scotland, we are viewed as one of the leading suppliers of building services and are BIM 2 level accredited.

SES deliver bespoke, design-led cost-efficient solutions optimised for the whole construction team, by maximising off-site manufacture in our production facility PRISM which minimise onsite resources and interfaces assuring quality and customer satisfaction in a measurable, safe way every time.

Key Accountabilities include:
Assist in procuring workload by maintaining and developing contacts in the Industry, by channelling commercial information to the Business Director and by direct involvement in the strategic thinking applied to the Unit’s tenders.

Ensure that all projects are set-up with Production techniques maximised, production control in place and productivity regularly monitored.

Agree cost targets for each contract with the relevant Engineer, QS and Buyer.

Monitor and approve the financial forecasts prepared by project teams and the Business Accountant, ensuring that he is provided with the best cost planning information which circumstances and timescales permit.

Ensure team meetings take place and chair, as required, but minimum monthly including formation and update of the Project Risk Register and Project Questionnaire.

Ensure compliance with all Company Standards and Procedures.
