DHL Aviation manage Hub & Gateway operations and customs clearance and provides a comprehensive airport-to-airport service to DHL International. In addition, DHL Aviation makes available the services of its network to a wide range of logistics service providers. By ensuring that the aircraft is fully used, DHL Aviation is able to create an expanding Network of routes able to meet its customers changing requirements. From Track&Trace right through to proof of delivery (POD), every shipment receives the same high level of secure management.

An Exciting Opportunity has arisen within the Operations Development Department. The Operations Development team is responsible for four main work streams covering Finance, Resource Planning and People, Operations QCC and Projects. The position Operations development Supervisor will be responsible for the Day to Day management of Operations QCC and supporting all other work streams.

Key Duties and responsibilities

Working within a busy and fast paced team primarily dealing with Operational development projects and assignments
Provide daily project status updates to Operations Development manager
Provide Daily reporting for the Operations Senior Management team
Provide detailed analysis Operations requirements and develop solution design
Support and lead individual Project work streams
Understand and develop the Cost drivers for EMA operations and work towards CPP improvements
Present project findings to all Key stakeholders and to the Ops SMT and H&G UK SMT
Guide and Advise best Operations practices whilst maintain GSOP
Seek and introduce new technology to EMA operations

Key skills

A sound knowledge of Sort operations within DHL, 2 Yrs DHL experience desirable.
High Level of Computer literacy a good overall knowledge of EMA.
Develop and identify training needs of team
People management skills
Excellent Communication skills
Prioritise workload of self and others
Ability to provide clear direction & enforce quality standards or deadlines to deliver high performance.
Working effectively within a team or outside the formal line of authority to accomplish objectives.
5 GCSE’s at grade C and above
