The Sheffield School of Architecture and the Department of Landscape Architecture are seeking to appoint a fixed term/part-time Operations and Finance Support Assistant to provide support in department operations, HR and financial processing. The role will be based in the Department of Landscape Architecture and the School of Architecture and involves staff recruitment, ensuring HR records are up to date, meeting scheduling and servicing, and expenses processing. There will be an occasional requirement for PA support to the Heads of both the School of Architecture and the Department of Landscape Architecture plus organisation of staff events.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of education and have previous experience of working as part of a team in an office environment, ideally in a customer facing role. Key attributes will include excellent organisational skills, experience of using a range of IT systems and good communication skills.

The postholder will join a large team of Professional Services colleagues working across both departments to support the delivery of the student experience, research and other core activities of academic disciplines. The postholder will also be expected to fully engage with other professional services colleagues across the Faculty of Social Sciences to ensure the delivery of first-rate support to staff and students.
