Summary:

An excellent opportunity to join a leading globally recognised organisation as a Manufacturing Engineer - Advanced Project

Quality Planning (APQP), working in the UK Nuclear manufacturing research industry, to ensure that products are

manufactured cost effectively using advanced technologies and industry standard NPI processes to meet the customer’s

requirements.

Working as part of an exciting new team, involved in the project delivery of solutions for manufactured products, you will

have a broad engineering background and provide support through the entire lifecycle of new and existing products. You will

also have a strong understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and be experts in meeting the customer’s

requirements.

You will play a key role, providing technical support to project teams at the Nuclear AMRC. You will provide guidance on NPI

processes, working closely with the functional leads to deliver research and commercial projects.

You will be part of the Nuclear AMRC contributing to the mission of improving the competitiveness of UK nuclear supply

chain by delivering the highest quality, industry-relevant manufacturing research and innovation projects. You will have

opportunities to interact with team members and clients developing your engineering skills and knowledge to deliver

world-leading manufacturing processes and technologies.

Role Competencies:

  • Proven aptitude and experience of delivering manufacturing development projects from concept to full production.
  • Work with interfacing teams (Research & Technology, Design, Functional specialists, etc), partners and suppliers to

ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes are understood

  • Strong technical and analytical skills that enable successful implementation of change and drives long term innovation

and cost saving improvements

  • Quality Management Systems and Quality Assurance experience.
  • Experience of delivering APQP, PPAP processes.
  • Knowledge and experience of using quality toolsets, Six Sigma/Lean/TQM etc.
  • Build relationships, communicate effectively and directly with a range of audiences, demonstrate skills of diplomacy

and exhibit the ability to persuade/negotiate desired outcomes at all levels.

  • Ability to gain SC Clearance
