We have a fantastic opportunity for an Operational Care Specialist to join our Air Logistics team in Heathrow. This role will be working a 4 on 4 off with shift pattern of 07:00 - 19:00 and within our 365 Operational Care Centre.
Your Role
The Operational Care Specialist will be part of a team within the Operational Care Centre (OCC) responsible for a wide range of tasks ensuring business continuity offered by the OCC to both internal and external Customers. Your day to day activities will include (but not exhaustive to) Shipment processing, shipment monitoring, providing key milestone updates to internal and external customers, deviation resolution, physical cargo checks and some Customs activity as and when required.Your Responsibilities
- Coordinate and align customer deliverables with customer care teams, partners and suppliers to manage the transportation of customer’s cargo
- Manage operational tasks through Business Process Automation tools (BPA) and all related features
- Monitoring key milestones and providing updates to both internal and external processing
- Shipment ownership including exception resolution
- End to End Operational ownership of Expo shipments by Air
- Own Handling agent communication and action or tag to relevant department using outlined process
- Physical Cargo checks as and when required
- Documentation tie up
Your Skills and Experiences
- Highly experienced in either freight forwarding or transport planning with key focus on airfreight
- Ability to understand and execute new processes
- Excellent knowledge of MS office features, especially excel
- Understand & respect the company confidentiality and compliance regulations (Code of Conduct)
- Strong affinity with required customer quality standards
- Strong customer service orientation (both internal and external)
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Problem solving skills
