Inyanga Marine Projects (Inyanga and HydroWing) is a highly dynamic team of professionals working on supporting the development of offshore renewable energy with a specific focus on tidal energy. Inyanga includes our turbine technology business HydroWing and our shreholding in leading tidal turbine developer Tocardo. The company is growing rapidly and attracting new investment. As part of this expansion we are seeking an Office Manager/ Financial Controller to support the Managing Director in developing the business. Inyanga are based at the award winning eco-facility of Jubilee Wharf in Penryn. We have a friendly and informal work environment.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all accounting using Quickbooks software for the Group Companies- HydroWing and Inyanga.

  • Sales and purchase ledgers
  • Management reports
  • VAT Group returns
  • End of year accounts
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations

Daily checking and monitoring of Inyanga Maritime and Hydrowing current accounts and processing receipts and payments.

Porvide liaison and reporting for investors.

Foreign exchange transactions.

Coordinating and supporting group companies with accounting with regard to our companies in Netherlands and France.

Working with annual auditors

Prepare monthly payroll for submission to accountants. Issue payslips and monthly salary payments from bank account.

Review monthly time sheets

Review and payment of staff monthly expenses

Control and issue of purchase orders as requested by project managers/engineers.

Monitor and review all insurance documentation and arrange for annual payments. Liaise with insurance broker on all aspects of insurance.

Arrange travel and associated documents for staff and subscontractors as requested including hire cars, flights, accommodation, visas, health checks.

Office - manage office facilities, delaing with Landlords, suppliers etc.

HR- issue contracts, deal with any staff queries or requests.

Liaison with project manager and engineers – provide support as and when required.

Liaison with customers and suppliers – ensuring invoices and bills are paid on time.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in finance management.
  • Team Player with good communication skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
  • Auditing experience.
  • Compliance oriented.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Analytical skills.
