We are recruiting for an Ocean Operator to join our Nuneaton branch. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful global logistics company at a time of expansion.

Working as a part of our talented Ocean team, your role will be to deliver operational excellence within the Ocean Import team. This role will concentrate on receiving bookings from our Customers and internal network then processing these in our in-house system fundamentally under FCL terms. This role may suit someone with excellent Customer Service and a strong can do attitude, who is looking to get into the Freight Forwarding industry as training can be provided.

The Role:

  • Providing excellent Customer Service – keeping customers updated in relation to any issues affecting their shipments and maintaining set KPI’s
  • Invoicing - ensuring that the customer is invoiced accurately and within expected company time-frame
  • Ensure all documentation is issued in accordance to customers instructions
  • To ensure that once all job processes are complete that all expected job costs agree with those anticipated and file is signed off with all milestones and checks complete


About you:

  • Demonstrable experience gained within the Freight forwarding industry, desirable
  • Experience gained within Ocean Imports particularly FCL, desirable
  • Demonstrable customer service, ideally gained within freight forwarding
  • A team player, with strong communication (both verbal and written) skills
  • Able to be flexible – proven experience of juggling multiple prioritising and delivering great customer service whilst working to stringent deadlines
  • Practical English and Maths skills
