We are recruiting for a Nursery Nurse to work at Butterfly Nursery in Hove.

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust nurseries are 3 workplace nurseries that provided full and part time day care for pre-school children. To deliver high quality compassionate care, within the nursery setting for the pre-school children of NHS parents, and some pre-school children from the local community. Working with a multi-disciplinary team to support children towards their Early learning goals. Working in Partnership with parents, carers, staff and outside agencies to provide as much flexibility as possible.To work as part of a team to provide high quality childcare, and support under the direction and supervision of senior nursery staff. This includes assisting in the on-going assessment and provision of childcare.

Ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care is provided for all children at the nursery(s) and to contribute to the development of the services.

  • To be a representative of the nursery, and SCFT always.
  • To work as part of a team.
  • To maintain the standards of the nursery in conjunction with SCFT and Nursery policies and procedures.
  • To maintain the standards of the nursery with full regard to the ‘Welfare Requirements’ as stated in the Early year’s foundation stage.
  • To ensure that Health and Safety is always observed on nursery premises, hospital site.
  • To ensure any maintenance works are reported promptly to maintain safety, by reporting the necessary works to the management team.
