Position: Nursery Manager (MAT)

Salary Banding: £25,000 – £30,0000 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Hours:Full time / Permanent / Mon-Fri / 35 hours

Location:Babbacombe, Torquay

We are looking for a strong and experienced Nursery Manager (MAT) here at our lovely Tops Babbacombe nursery, friendly nursery located for easy access whether you are traveling into or out of Torquay.

The 50 place nursery has the luxury of being a short distance from the wonderful Tessier Gardens; a tranquil grass park with pond and scented garden for sensory exploration. By having such a central setting it allows us to offer the children a wide variety of activities and experiences. The nursery run a number of extra-curricular activities including Tops Forest School, cooking school, Boogie Mites, yoga, meditation and much more!

About You

  • Are you a great example of a mentor and a leader that can lead a team of exceptional educators
  • Support our ethos in providing a brighter, more sustainable future for children
  • Can you maintain our consistent ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ for all area of the nursery for Ofsted inspection
  • Must be willing to ensure the daily operational management of the nursery whilst making mud pies, leading a team of creative geniuses and being a fantastic role model to others
  • Ensure company quality and safety standard are maintained in the nursery at all times.
  • With guidance from the EYFS; plan and implement engaging educational activities suitable for the age range of the children
  • To be committed to the safeguarding of all children in the nursery

  • You must be prepared to have a lot of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your working days.
  • Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families. There is no better feeling than watching that tiny 3 month old baby grow in to a well-educated pre-schooler preparing for big school!

The successful candidate will require:

A minimum of a Level 3 Early Years Qualification is required. All successful candidate will be subject to safety checks, including a full-completed Application Form and a DBS Checks.
