We are looking for a Nursery Driver to be responsible to safely transport meals to and from Tops Wimborne nursery across the Salisbury, Gillingham, Lymington and Fawley area, and on occasion delivring goods and transporting staff to and from all properties owned, leased or rented by the Tops Day Nursery and Aspire Training Team.

The 98 place has the luxury of being close to both Bytheway Field and Bytheway Playground both just waiting to be explored! By having such a central setting, it allows us to offer the children a wide variety of activities and experiences. The nursery runs a number of extra-curricular activities including Tops Forest School, cooking school, Boogie Mites, yoga, meditation and much more!

About You

  • We are looking for someone with good knowledge of local areas together with access to a satellite navigation device.
  • You will have the ability to manage time effectively and reflect and learn from past experiences.
  • The successful applicant will be willing follow to organisational processes and procedures to meet required standards.
  • For this role it is paramount for the applicant to hold a full and clear driving licence.
  • It would be advantageous to hold an advanced driving licence, however this is not essential.
  • A clear and valid DBS is paramount and overseas applicants will need a clear and valid certificate of good conduct. Please note we will conduct a suitability check prior to interview.

Your Responsibilities and Duties will involve:

  • Ensure that you abide by the Highway Code when transporting staff, goods and meals, in order to keep them safe at all times.
  • Ensure that health and safety paperwork is completed as required and given to the head cook.
  • Liaise with Manager/deputy at your site to find out in good time when there are driving jobs to be undertaken.
  • Ensure that all passengers are wearing seatbelts or goods, meals are secure before a journey commences.
  • Regular cleaning of the vehicle.
  • Be able to meet deadlines and timing requirements for meal deliveries
  • Clear communication with head cook to discuss delivery locations
  • Ensure that equipment is collected and returned to main nursery site.

Hours 6am – 1pm Monday – Friday
