The Role Involves Two Key ComponentsThe Nurse Lead/Operational Manager role is to support the Clinical Director of the Service in ensuring the provision of a high quality, safe and clinically effective service.
  • In the absence and on behalf of the Clinical Director, the Nurse Lead will maintain day to day operational management of the department which includes administration staff, nursing staff, health visitor staff, midwifery staff, GPs and voluntary sector staff, who work collaboratively and as a multi-disciplinary team to meet the individual needs of individuals who attend the service.
  • Provide senior nursing leadership on a clinical and professional level within the department, with a specific focus on ensuring robust governance structures and processes are in place within the department; that nursing care is of the highest standard and that nurses within the team work to their maximum capabilities in support of the GPs; Provide clinical leadership and management support for the continuous professional development of the staff within the service; meeting professional standards and corporate requirements.
Main duties will center around delivering safe patient care, leadership of the quality and safety agenda. Provide professional leadership and operational and organizational management for the department. Support and as appropriate lead on policy, service development and delivery. Ensure the department remains within the allocated funding envelope. Provide education and training to the nursing staff looking for opportunities for research and developmentCAVHIS is an innovative and forward-thinking department which provides comprehensive services to adults and families who are seeking asylum or resettlement.
