Job Description


37.5 per week. Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

Purpose Of The Post:

To continually search for leads and contacts within the UK market for testing in areas of our business (initially primarily in Cosmetics and Detergents but also HPH (Hygiene, Paper and Household) and Retail). Ensuring the right quality of contacts with the decision makers within a customer company and making initial approaches to gain solid interest before handing over to the sales team for follow up on specific projects.

Main Duties:

  • Establish relationships with new customers and further penetration of existing customers accounts, maximising the potential to spend within the UK CPT offer.
  • Continually prospect for new clients and accounts using a range of direct and indirect methods.
  • To attend Trade fairs and through other networking opportunities promote the Eurofins UK Consumer Product Testing brand to reach new customers and generate sales.
  • Be proficient in designing and delivering presentations to new customers to engage their interest in the Eurofins offer.
  • Report to management about competitive landscape, market opportunities and best practices seen in the market
  • To identify customers’ needs and build appropriate sales pitch to capture customer engagement, ensure this is clearly passed over to the sales team for further expansion.
  • Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Keep up to date with current techniques and services available within the Eurofins network in order to promote effectively to clients.
  • To develop and maintain high quality relationships with the rest of the UK team to ensure clarity of communication in all directions and UK customers’ needs are understood.
  • To have an in-depth understanding of costing and pricing strategies.

Qualifications


Essential

  • Degree in related scientific subject and 5 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Practical knowledge of consumer product testing and the manufacturing process
  • 3 years’ experience achieving sales targets within B2B environment within consumer product testing categories
  • Knowledge and understanding of product testing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of sales and account management techniques.
  • Experience of using CRM and specialised software systems
  • Effective communication skills both written and oral.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • To be able to listen and communicate to different levels within the business and to gain the confidence of the client.
  • To be a self-starter and manage own workload in a timely and effective manner.

Desirable

  • Practical knowledge of cosmetic and/or detergent testing and the manufacturing process
  • 3 years’ experience achieving sales targets within B2B environment within the cosmetics and/or detergent testing categories
