We have an excellent opportunity for a Network, Server, and Infrastructure Support Engineer to join the team at one of the UK’s leading national children’s charities in a state of the art building in Newcastle under Lyme.

About the role
As a Network, Server, and Infrastructure Support Engineer, your responsibilities include:

  • Installing, back-up, managing, monitoring, and updating all network switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and server & computer systems to meet the organization’s current and future requirements
  • Monitoring infrastructure systems and identifying performance issues proactively.
  • Working within strict time frames and elevating incidents within defined timeframes.
  • Testing all changes to networks, hardware, software, and hosted applications.
  • Catering to doing infrastructure coordination related to design and setup activities at different project stages.
  • Working with various vendors and service providers to ensure a productive environment.

About the hours & rewards

About you
As a Network, Server, and Infrastructure Support Engineer, you must have/be:

  • Extensive networking experience, including VLANs, segregation, switches, stacked switches, firewalls, and WIFI
  • CCNA network certification
  • Solid technical background in a WINTEL environment, including infrastructure networks, hardware, software and telecommunications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
  • Office 365, Azure AD, MABS / MAR, Cloud Migration
  • Virtualization experience using Hyper-V
  • Perform daily infrastructure checks to proactively monitor, log, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
  • Proactive ability to identify trends to elevate incidents in accordance with standard protocols
  • Ability to work in a team environment
