Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer to join our team installing wireless and fibre customers across our network. Reporting to our Service Delivery Manager, your main responsibilities as an Network Installation Engineer will include:

  • Installing full fibre internet connections to both residential and business properties
  • Diagnose and restore service issues to maintain customer connections
  • Carry out emergency and scheduled maintenance across the Wessex Internet network
  • Work as part of an engineering team providing assistance and resource for the maintenance of the ISP services
  • Provide ‘out of hours’ cover on a rota basis during evenings and weekends
  • Working at height to install equipment on masts and customer houses
  • Working as an individual and as part of a team to achieve company targets and KPI’s
  • Adherence with Health & Safety legislation

Job Requirements/Skills:

  • Great communication and customer service skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the telecoms industry, ideally with installation experience
  • Takes a proactive approach to problem solving in a team environment
  • Honesty and reliability
  • The ability to work on your own initiative with strong self-organisational skills
  • A strong willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving processes
  • Be confident working at height and ideally have received certified training
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months

Pay & Benefits:

Location: Shroton, Blandford Forum, Dorset

Core hours: 40 per week, plus overtime. Weekend and evening cover will be required on a rota basis.

Holiday: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
