Reporting to: Service Provision & Support Manager

A successful candidate:

An ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in network operations, including experience with installation, troubleshooting, and monitoring. They will also possess exceptional customer service skills and be able to provide top-notch support to our UK-based clients in various field-based environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing and configuring customer telephone systems, routers, and other equipment on-location, obtaining necessary documentation for approval
  • Performing site assessments for hosted systems, door entry, and broadband services
  • Managing and prioritizing level 2 tickets related to customer issues and ensuring resolutions within established SLAs
  • Diagnosing and resolving service quality issues through end-to-end problem isolation
  • Abiding by change control procedures to ensure successful completion of change requests and minimizing service interruptions
  • Collaborating with the sales order processing team and other colleagues or partners in resolving problems
  • Executing daily tasks to maintain optimal network performance and provide exceptional service to clients
  • Establishing and maintaining IT and digital communication infrastructure, including wireless or LAN networks, and software, including email, user accounts, and passwords
  • Adhering to client policies, including IT Security and GDPR Policies
  • Being available for potential out-of-hours work to maintain or upgrade the core network and systems
  • Carrying out any other reasonable requests to support the business and its operations
  • Providing basic training on systems relevant to customer needs

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Ethernet IP, MPLS, QoS, and VPN technologies
  • Experience in the installation and configuration of various Cat 5 systems and devices
  • Proven ability to restore complex network faults through technology and solution-based approaches
  • Familiarity with the setup, operation, and daily maintenance of network equipment and software
  • Capacity to collaborate with other network engineers to support data network operation, maintenance, and restoration
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Availability for occasional overnight stays for installations at remote locations.
