This post holder would be expected to design and deliver training covering all aspects of IM, IX and M365 applications. Training courses (as required) will be regularly delivered in all main Naval establishments utilising the MODNET Toolset. Virtual training is to be fully exploited to improve the delivery of training and education across the Command. Primary tasks include:
a. As Required, manage and develop staff following Departmental best practice, with a clear commitment to equal opportunities, allowing them to achieve their full potential, ensure staff management issues are dealt with promptly, annual performance appraisal cycles completed and agreed staff training and equal opportunities needs met.
b. Maintain a full grasp of MODNET Capabilities in the fixed environment on both OFFICIAL and SECRET Domains, including legacy records Capabilities (HP Records Manager) and MOD/Navy Command Policy Rules and Guidance (PRG) affecting IM/IX. Liaise with Defence Digital (DD) and Navy Digital-SPT Technical Support staff where limits of capability are exceeded.
c. Deliver training for IM staff and Users on all MODNET core capabilities, primarily M365 SharePoint and ‘in place’ records component together with all additional integrated MODNET applications iaw Defence/Navy Command IM policy and protocols, including the booking processes, facilitation and evaluation of courses.
d. Upskill Records Managers for:
  • HP Records Manager for the review and disposal of legacy records.
  • O365 SharePoint Manage in Place (MiP) records.
e. Contribute to the Defence wide MODNET DD Community of Interest Site and Knowledge and Information Management Group to exchange and deliver best practice across MOD.
f. Provide direct support to Digital M365 SO2 to seek out and exploit opportunities to improve Navy Business processes by the adoption of WoW and Electronic Working Practices and in the support of the Information Management Community and their Users, including supporting the termly regional IM Forums.

Previous knowledge of Information Management, Microsoft 365 applications and Training skills would be desirable. There is an element of travel associated with the training delivery and occasional overnight stays.
