Are you a transport professional that prides yourself on your ability to drive efficiencies and get the best out of your network?

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a National Planning Optimisation Manager to lead and support a wide variety of activity across our transport network for one of our biggest customers, Iceland. This role will be contractually based from Warrington, but you’ll need to be flexible to travel to our six operations across the UK when required.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
  • Drive network synergies throughout our Iceland contract, identifying opportunities for efficiency, cost saving and continuous improvement
  • Facilitate a joined-up approach across the network, encouraging and driving open communication between sites
  • Monitor transport KPIs, identifying patterns and trends in terms of success, challenges and opportunities for improvement
  • Engage, support, and build strong relationships with our General Managers, getting under the skin of their operations and assist them accordingly
What You Need To Succeed At GXO
  • A strong transport management and planning background with a focus on driving optimisation and improvements, ideally across a network of sites
  • In-depth working knowledge of transport and warehousing continuous improvement activity
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the network, from operational colleagues to our General Managers
  • The flexibility to travel across our network of sites across the UK
