James Ray Recruitment are seeking an outstanding music & performing art teacher to join a Bradford based academy. The performing arts department within the school is a dynamic and exciting place, buzzing with musical activity across any given week. Students can participate in ensembles such as wind band, orchestra, choir, steel pans, jazz band and guitar ensemble, working towards regular concerts across the year.
The successful candidate would be able to teach across the three key stages, including sharing an A level class. The candidate would have the opportunity to run an ensemble and would be encouraged to include their particular skills, experiences and passions in repertoire decisions, both in extra-curricular and classroom practice.
This school looking for someone who holds QTS and can deliver good levels of behaviour management. The role is a full-time position requiring an immediate start with the salary between MPS1 to MPS6 £25,174 to £36,961, this is dependent on experience.
Who is the ideal candidate?
· Have experience teaching Music up to Key Stage 4
· Have experience teaching Performing Arts up to Key Stage 4
· Hold a PGCE and qualified teacher status (QTS) or be working towards the latter.
· Have a genuine desire to become part of a The Creative Arts Department.
· Lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans/schemes of work as appropriate
