As the Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer you will effectively maintain manufacturing equipment and site utilities ensuring safe and continuous operation.

This role is within the engineering support team for a Manufacturing site producing and developing new to world technology, supporting a complex fast changing research, development and rapidly growing manufacturing environment as the Hydrogen Technologies business continues to evolve towards high volume manufacture and commercial success.

Your responsibilities:

• Ensure all engineering work practices meet all current EHS legislation and apply Group EHS policies.
• Engineering maintenance and servicing of site equipment. Including but not limited to air handling equipment, compressors, chillers, hot presses, ovens, milling equipment, ventilation and other plant equipment.
• Engineering maintenance for the building.
• Support projects in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of key automated manufacturing & site plant equipment.
• Monitor critical spares stock levels and ensure spares arrive on time.
• Lead and promote process modifications and improvements to meet agreed specifications in line with Business’ requirements.
• Continually seek to improve existing processes in support of increased material utilisation, production.
• Work closely and maintain good relationships with other departments including EHS, Supply Chain, Procurement, Development Plant, Capital Projects and other.
  
  

Requirements for the role:

• Ideally apprentice trained experience in an automated, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience of high temperature ovens, roll handling and hydraulic presses an advantage.
• Multi skilled engineer with solid understanding of Mechanical & Electrical engineering an advantage.
• Experience of motors, servo drives, variable frequency drives and ac/dc motors.
• Proven knowledge of process automation equipment including PLC systems: Allen Bradley, Siemens and Mitsubishi plus Robot controls.
• Qualified to C&G or HNC (Level 4) in electrical/mechanical engineering discipline is desired but not essential.
