CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to be based in Amersham.

Role Summary:
  • Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements
  • Ensure all work requests are carried out within SLA
  • Work closely with manager, supervisor, peers
  • Ability to carry out fault diagnosis on mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Respond to Building Management System alarms, escalate, and effect emergency repairs as required
  • Issue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems and LOTO
  • Ensure that ACOP’s applicable to the maintenance industry are followed
  • Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant
  • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices
  • Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes
  • Develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE staff and client’s staff
  • Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required
  • Ensure a professional image of CBRE is presented to clients and visitors and always ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted
  • Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning
  • Ensure logbooks, shift hand-over and the client’s reporting is updated regularly and accurately
  • Have a flexible attitude to working overtime to cover other engineers holiday leave where required
  • Identify and report potential hazards

Experience Required:
  • The candidate must be formally trained in electrical services maintenance
  • Experience in multi skilled disciplines (mechanical, fabric, water hygiene)
  • Experience of critical environment facilities maintenance, but not limited to, BMS operation, testing of electrical systems,
  • Comprehensive mechanical and electrical engineering experience, undertaking reactive and planned preventative maintenance
  • Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations regarding maintenance activities
  • Good computer skills are a necessity as there are number of reports that are required to be sent to CBRE personnel and the client, as well as logging PPM’s, work reports and incidences on the client’s system
  • Ability to demonstrate a good use of excel, word and outlook
  • Ability to learn, and develop both technical knowledge, and understanding of local organisational systems and processes
  • Sound knowledge and experience of Environmental, Health & Safety and regulatory requirements
