We are searching for a Benefits Administrator to join our world-class London People Shared Service Centre (SSC), a team of skilled HR and Payroll professionals, responsible for providing service delivery for our UK & Ireland business which supports an employee population of over 10,000.

The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the completion of the review and compute of all benefits input and reconciliation across a number of schemes. They should be able to work to tight deadlines as required to deliver the monthly payroll. A team player whose main purpose is to support the Benefits and Payroll functions through measurable controls who will work closely with the Benefits Team Leader and other Benefits Administrators to ensure the successful delivery of compliant Pension and Benefits submission within all legal and SOX audit requirements.

Role Summary:

  • Day to day administration of Company benefits for employees based in UK & Ireland, including: Pension Schemes (including auto-enrolment in the UK), Medical, Life Assurance, Permanent Health Insurance, Childcare vouchers, Season Ticket Loans and Eye care reimbursements)
  • Liaise with internal payroll/shared services teams and employees in relation to the set up and correct deductions of employee contributions towards benefits and pensions
  • Input historic and ongoing benefit changes into employee records and Peoplesoft
  • Ensure benefits information is correctly inputted on to the relevant spreadsheets for submission to payroll or vendors
  • Collate and check data to allow the review/renewal of benefit schemes and assisting in the renewal process of such schemes
  • Perform pensions calculations, enter pensions data, and answer queries to the required standard across a wide range of schemes and providers
  • Undertake reconciliation of both DC (Defined contribution) and DB (Defined benefit) schemes
  • Be familiar with employee benefit policies and support employees and line managers with standard benefit queries
  • Escalating queries to the Senior People Services Administrators, People Services Team Leaders, Centres of Expertise, and People Business Partners, in line with the agreed escalation matrix
  • Create and run all required reports, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Escalating any issues to the Senior Pensions Administrator and Benefits Team Leader, UK&I as required
  • Assist with production of ad-hoc reports for managers/directors on request
  • Assist with production of information required for auditors
  • Any other ad hoc duties or requests in line with the role as requested

Experience Required:

  • Previous pension and/or benefits administration experience, ideally in a Shared Services environment
  • Good communication and “client focused” skills with advanced Excel skills (Vlook Ups / Pivot tables)
  • Previous experience of using PeopleSoft is desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Process driven
  • Able to use experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
  • A committed team player who can offer continuous support to their colleagues
