This post is required for the delivery of consultancy, training and support of SIMS and Arbor products, through support contracts within our customer base. The post holder is to be responsible for supporting the SIMS and Arbor platforms, writing and delivering training materials and providing exceptional support and guidance to over 700+ schools alongside a wider experienced team. The role holder will be advising schools on issues which ultimately provide scope in raising pupil attainment and improving school effectiveness through the use of the outlined software service packages. To both work remotely (phone and internet/remote meetings) and face to face with schools in a support and consultative manner and to train modules on determined product packages, from both basic through to advanced provision. The post holder will have experience in FMS or finance provision either in schools or with service support software packages, ideally, also having experience in advanced reporting in this area. The role holder is required to deliver this service to a high quality in accordance with agreed service standards and to liaise with other internal teams and external organisations to include Local Authorities and software providers.

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

  • Help to promote Entrust services to increase the customer base and income levels.
  • To resolve problems relating to SIMS and ARBOR support, in a timely and effective way by telephone, remote support or site visit.
  • To assist in the design and delivery of technical training and seminars to Entrust customers, users and staff.
  • To have specific FMS knowledge in SIMS and/or ARBOR systems
  • Maintain an awareness of the services, LA or Department of Education developments and relevant legislation, statutory obligations and advise customers (and/or partners) accordingly.
  • To provide a range of SIMS consultancy, on-site school support, office based and remote support and training services to schools. Encouraging the development of customer skills and championing the most effective use of SIMS software to both raise pupil attainment and improve school effectiveness.
  • Deliver training as required to a wide range of ability levels.
  • Ensure appropriate communication with customers and users where there are problems with, or changes to the delivery of their support services.
  • Advising and sometimes deploying in schools: suitable solutions to meet their administration and management requirements.

What we’re looking for:

  • To lead specific area of SIMS with FMS, ensuring own knowledge is informed and up-to-date, and ensuring documentation, processes and internal staff training are current.
  • Experience of SIMS/SIMS PRIMARY, Arbor or similar packages
  • Experience of reporting functions within similar packages, alongside broader functionality
  • Develop, design and update training materials, documentation and key information within specific subject areas and disseminate to both customers and Capita Entrust colleagues through the appropriate lines of communication.
