The Role
Working as part of a small but growing team you will be responsible for the origination and execution of bolt-on acquisitions for one of the 4C fund’s portfolio companies. We are a London based consultancy and have completed three acquisitions during the past 18 months. This role will involve origination through to deal execution of further acquisitions, in the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment of acquisition opportunities
- Development of relationships with vendors and support negotiation of commercial terms
- Management of third party providers of diligence and legal services in support of deal execution
- Rigorous analysis of investments
- Building financial models and support the financial, legal and commercial due diligence processes
- Preparation of detailed valuation and financial models for potential acquisitions
- Maintenance of company rolling 5-year model
- Preparation of documentation and support the Investment Committee approval process
- Support Partners and portfolio company management teams by managing deals through to completion using financial acumen, commercial insight and strong project management skills
- Provide support as required on non-acquisition related investment assessment processes
The Individual
Successful candidates will have demonstrated excellence in their careers to date. They will possess highly developed analytical and financial skills. They will have exceptional presentation skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Key skills required
- 2+ years of merger and acquisition deal experience working on sub £20m investments
- Accountancy trained
- Commercially minded
- Robust analytical skills and financial modelling experience
- Ability to produce detailed and well-crafted presentations
- Excellent academics background
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
