The Role

Due to successful business growth both organic and acquisitions, 4C is growing the size of the finance support team. We are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team who will report into the Finance Manager working from the 4C head office based in Hammersmith, London. The role of Assistant Management Accountant will involve the ownership of the sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control, staff expenses, month end journals and reconciliations. In addition, you will assist in completing VAT consolidation and declarations for the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing the Purchase ledger invoices
• Raising the sales invoices
• Responsible for the credit control; chasing clients for outstanding payments
• Assist with maintenance of weekly cash flow forecast and rolling daily cash tracker. To work with Finance Assistant to develop this further
• Month end journals and maintain journal checklist
• Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations each month end
• Review Balance Sheet and P&L with Finance Manager and Group Financial Controller on a monthly basis
• Processing expenses per month
• Dealing with quarterly VAT returns
• Ad hoc project work and reports

• A keen interest in accounting and Finance
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ideally possess a working knowledge of accounting systems

• A hands-on attitude to delivering high quality work and be able to work to deadlines
• A flexible working approach, adapt to the changing requirements of the business as required
• Able to motivate themselves and others using a collaborative approach

Qualifications and Experience Required

Essential

• Finance / Accounting related qualifications or relevant professional experience.

Desirable

• AAT qualified or working towards ACCA/CIMA qualification
• Initial experience working in an accounting / finance role in a professional, commercial environment.
