Ridgeline Clothing are seeking a full-time Merchandising Manager. This is a full-on role. The primary responsibility of the Merchandise Manager is to proactively manage all aspects of forecasting and planning for the Ridgeline product range — with the aim of ensuring that we have the right products, in the right place, at the target price — at the right time and in the right quantities. The Merchandise Manager will also manage the sales team and the service department.

Your responsibilities include building relationships with our retailers, whilst ensuring the growth of our E-commerce business.

You will be reporting directly to the Head of Brand Development with key relationships to the Commercial Brand Manager.

The position is primarily based in our head office in Southern Leicestershire (Market Harborough / Lutterworth area) and the ideal candidate will be located within reasonable distance to this

The job role will include

Working to deliver the planned sales and profitability of your department through effective planning and in-season trading

Working collaboratively with supply base to innovate solutions and processes within production planning and critical path management

Developing short term and long-term department strategies to maximise department profit.

To be responsible for the management of both the internal and external sales teams

To be data driven, demonstrating a commercial and analytical mindset, using data and insights to leverage opportunities that will contribute to the Ridgeline strategy and success.

Work alongside the Product Development Team to ensure profitable and efficient development of the product ranges

Collect post market feedback in a standardised format for analysis and presentation back to the Design & Product Development teams.

To be responsible for processing sales orders and raising the relevant invoices and processing the required payments

To be responsible for liaising with warehouse staff with order queries, delivery queries timescales and courier queries

To support and work closely with field-based staff.

Regularly visit Retail stores and concessions to ensure the collection is faithfully represented both commercially and from a brand image point of view.

Shows innovation by challenging existing processes and practices to drive the business forward.

Developing short term and long-term department strategies with the Buyer to maximise department profit.

To be responsible for New Account Application follow up, credit queries, and sales reportage

The role holder should be continually seeking out all opportunities to improve the departmental performance

To proactively drive and develop their own product knowledge and demonstrate a willingness to continuously strive to enhance their individual product and marketplace understanding.

Have strong system skills, including advanced excel and relevant trading systems.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills

Previous experience as a Merchandiser is essential, ideally within an apparel brand.

Excellent organisation and numerical skills.

Passionate about product, strong market and brand awareness

Ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong and effective presentation skills and ability to converse with a diverse range of people at all levels.

Shows a great understanding of the customer and customer segmentation and reflects this in decision making

Embraces and champions the benefits of change within the wider team

Work within agreed timescales towards achieving team departmental targets and objectives

Ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels.

Experience in effective team management and development
