Mental Health Support Worker Required in Poole!

Job Title:Mental Health Support Worker

Location: Poole

Salary: £11.85 - £13.43 per hour

Start date: Immediately

Contract type: Permanent/Full Time

Working Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact on the educational journey of secondary-aged pupils? We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join a dynamic team in Poole.

In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in supporting the implementation of Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring that each student receives personalised attention and tailored assistance. Your commitment will extend to providing invaluable support to pupils who are at risk of exclusion or have faced exclusion from mainstream school environments. Join a collaborative and nurturing learning environment, where you’ll work alongside a skilled Teacher, fostering success in a small class setting with a maximum of eight pupils. This role will allow you to liaise with teachers, educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, play therapists and many other people working within the same field.

SEMH Teaching Assistant Role

  • Supportive school located in Poole
  • 1:1, 2:1 and group work with challenging behaviours
  • Temp-perm
  • Full time is preferred but part time applicants may still apply, as job shares can be available
  • £80-£94 per day depending on your experience
  • Experience with Mental Health or SEN
