Hywel Dda University Health Board has a vacancy for a Band 4 Medical Secretary in Neurophysiology for 15 hours per week. Applications are invited from experienced secretaries or admin staff. Consideration will be given, along with training and support if the successful applicant does not meet all the personal specification.The department is based in Glangwili Hospital and offers extensive diagnostic services in EEG and Nerve Conduction studies to both adults and paediatrics.The current team consists of a part time Consultant Neurologist, 5 Clinical Physiologists and a Medical Secretary.The post holder will perform a full range of secretarial and administrative support to the Neurophysiology department, consultant and medical staff.Duties will include typing of clinical letters, dealing with and responding to queries from multidisciplinary teams and patients, managing clinic appointments and waiting times and ensuring effective processes are in place to monitor and track performance of the 8-week patient pathway.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.We Do This In Partnership With Our Three Local Authorities And Public, Private And Third Sector Colleagues, Including Our Volunteers, ThroughHywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties.
