The Department of Ophthalmology is looking for an enthusiastic individual for the Lincoln site.

To provide a comprehensive, accurate and confidential support to the service at Lincoln Hospital. This is a full time post - Monday to Friday.

As Secretarial Assistant you will play a pivotal role in assisting the Medical Secretaries provide an efficient Ophthalmology service. You will be responsible for the typing of clinic letters, answering the telephone to GP surgeries/Opticians and liaising with patients over the telephone. The Medical Secretarial Assistant is a vital part of effective patient administration. You will utilise hospital based IT systems for correspondence and patient case note tracking, all of which you will receive support and training for.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic team player with excellent customer care and interpersonal skills. A minimum of 2 GCSE’s or equivalent of Grade C and above is required including English or NVQ2 or equivalent in related subject. A flexible approach to work is required as well as an ability to get on with others in a team based environment with demanding work pressures.
